Tucked away in the beautiful tree-lined streets of West Perth, Mayfair Lane is a distinguished renegade built on the traditions of the Great British gastro pub & dining room.
Since our beginning in 2016, Mayfair Lane has successfully taken the title for WA’s Wine List of the Year 2018 besides being one of the Top 50 restaurants for the WA Good Food Guide over the past three years. 2018 also witnessed the lovely Foni being voted as WA’s Sommelier of the Year.
Mayfair Lane was awarded ‘Best Pub Restaurant List’ in Gourmet Traveller’s Wine List of the Year Awards in 2019. Topping off the year by taking out the ‘Jury Prize’ at the World of Fine Wine Awards in London. This was a big win considering 94 venues were picked around the world, with only 18 from Australia, and one from Perth – Mayfair Lane.
We’re a pretty down to earth team who embody the very best of generosity, quality and ceremony without a hint of pomposity or stuffiness, and we like our guests to have as good of a time as we do!
CHRIS POLLITT
MANAGING DIRECTORBorn in Empangeni, Zululand in South Africa, Chris was raised in country Western Australia before getting his education in Perth. Six years at the Windsor Hotel gave him a taste for Hospitality which he took to the rest of the planet. Running venues in the US, Africa and Europe, London was to be his home. Managing some of the best and the biggest venues in Shoreditch and the city, he found that running the three feet of Mahogany was his calling. Now coming home to roost and bringing all he has to Perth hospo scene.
Never short of a chat, he prides himself on happy customers and the relationships that builds.

FONI POLLITT
OPERATIONS DIRECTORMelbourne born Foni Pollitt DipWSET has spent her adult life travelling the world; drinking, tasting, teaching and loving wine. After leaving University she bought a one-way ticket to Italy and never looked back. Her career in hospitality began in the early 90’s and she’s worked extensively in London and Montreal delivering a finessed service from gastro pub to fine dining. In Montreal she was awarded the Wine Spectators ‘Award of Excellence’ with her wine list made up entirely of Greek Wines.
2018 has also witnessed a very successful year in Foni’s career, having recently been crowned Sommelier of the Year at the WA Good Food Guide Awards and also taking out the Best Wine list in Western Australia with the Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards. Also, in 2019 Mayfair Lane took home Best pub restaurant list in Australia with the Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards by Gourmet Traveller. As a WSET Educator, Foni loves to share her passion for wine and travel tales with students here in Perth.
